Opulent Knit Cable

                                                             Download Here

I will show you the pattern below, but you can download the PDF, by clicking on the link above.

Size Needle: 10.5

Work cable on 13 stitches. So multiples of 13 are needed. The 3 Stranded Cable Knit Pattern- with Ribbing

This is called the 3 stranded "braid" knitted cable stitch pattern.

This piece is 6 x 9 inches. I made it this way because of a charity  BUT you may just want to use the cable pattern itself. That way you can change the surround stitches. If that's the case, I have the cable pattern in a dark red font in bold.

The instructional PDF, if you wish to download it, is available immediately (no wait) at http://www.mediafire.com/download/n9kxrvor46eo40m/3_stranded_w_ribbing.pdf

I was a beginner knitter when I started doing cables. It take just a little practice. This is a good beginner cable pattern. I say that because you are only using the cable needle every other Right Side row. I surrounded the cable pattern with ribbing and moss stitch.

Ribbed cable stitch pattern

Ribbed Cable Stitch Pattern

You only have to use a cable needle twice on this cable stitch pattern.
CO 30
Size: 6 in x 9 inches
Yards: 30-40 yard of yarn needed.

This is a large ribbed cable with a moss border. You only need to use the cable needle twice. The only difficult thing about the cable is that it is a large cable. That makes it very tight when trying to do it. If you’re having trouble getting you needle tip into those cable stitches push up all the stitches on the right needle. That gives you more room to maneuver. The cable pattern will be below the pattern instructions.
